RAW Training Feb 4 2016

This was a longer spinning ride at 1:15:25 ride. That’s a whole 15 minutes longer than typical! Tougher than yesterday; I’m not sure if it was because of a different bike or because of exercising yesterday. I am hoping it’s the bike :). Serious butt uncomfortable issues. Spent most of the time at setting 14 with a bit of time at 15 with 90 RPM and 83 RPM respectively. Did a little more than 4 minutes of “running” and standing climbs so I think that’s good. Got a good stretching that included Yoga moves after.

Not feeling well today, my first chance to spin or yoga since Wednesday. Most disappointing.

So I’m going to write about what goals are since I’ve started down this cycling/spinning route. My initial plan is/was to do RAW in 2016 and RAAM in 2017. Since I have no experience, as in zero, none, with bike racing or endurance cycling I have no idea if that’s a realistic plan or not. I’m in good shape overall so I expect it to be doable. If not, I will try some other qualifier for RAAM in 2016. If all else fails, “There’s always next year.”
